Stefanie Samida, PhD (*1973), is Associate Professor of Popular Culture Studies at Zurich University. She studied Proto- and Prehistory, Classical Archaeology and Medieval History in Tübingen and Kiel (Master 1999) as well as Media Studies (Diploma 2001). She recieved her doctorate in Tübingen in 2005 and habilitated at Zurich University in 2016. Her research focuses on heritage, material culture, public history, popular cultures and history of media and science. From 2015–2019 she was Junior Research Group Leader in the collaborative research project heiEDUCATION at the Heidelberg School of Education. Since 2020 she is Research Associate at the Department of History at Heidelberg University.
Stefanie Samida, Dr. phil. (*1973), ist Privatdozentin für Populäre Kulturen an der Universität Zürich. Sie studierte Vor- und Frühgeschichte, Klassische Archäologie und Mittelalterliche Geschichte in Tübingen und Kiel (Magister 1999), danach Medienwissenschaft-Medienpraxis (Diplom 2001). 2005 erfolgte die Promotion in Tübingen, 2016 die Habilitation an der Universität Zürich. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich Heritage Studies, materielle Kultur, Public History, Populäre Kulturen sowie Medien- und Wissenschaftsgeschichte. Von 2015 bis 2019 war sie Nachwuchsgruppenleiterin im heiEDUCATION-Cluster „Kulturelles Erbe“ der Heidelberg School of Education. Seit 2020 ist sie Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Historischen Seminar der Universität Heidelberg.
