Elisa Tizzoni, PhD, is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) and adjunct professor in modern history at the University of Pisa. She has been a research fellow at the University of Innsbruck and a visiting lecturer at the University of Salzburg. She has also worked as a researcher and as an adjunct professor at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, at the European University Institute in Florence and other cultural institutions. Her main research interests include the political and environmental history of tourism.
