Mark Freeman is Professor of Social History and Education at University College London (UCL). He has published widely on modern British social and cultural history, including the history of education. He is co-editor of the journal History of Education (published by Taylor & Francis), and a co-investigator on the AHRC-funded Redress of the Past project. From September 2022 he will be Director of the Centre for Modern and Contemporary Britain, a research centre in the UCL Institute of Advanced Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
