Robert Imre, PhD, is Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at the University of Newcastle, Australia. In 2015 he is a Visiting Researcher with the Space and Political Agency Research group (SPARG) at the University of Tampere, Finland. In 2016 he is a Senior Researcher with the Institute for Advanced Social Research in Tampere.

Research interests include: political violence, political communication, media studies, and political theory.

Robert Imre, Dr. phil., ist Professor für Politik und internationale Beziehungen an der Universität von Newcastle (Australien). Im Jahr 2015 ist er Gastwissenschaftler bei der "Space and Political Agency Research Group" (SPARG) an der Universität von Tampere (Finnland). 2016 ist er Leiter einer Forschungsgruppe am Sozialwissenschaftlichen Forschungskolleg in Tampere.

Zu seinen Forschungsinteressen gehören: politische Gewalt, politische Kommunikation, Medienwissenschaften und politische Theorie.
