Luigi Cajani, PhD, attualmente in pensione, ha insegnato storia moderna nella Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia della Sapienza Università di Roma, dove è stato anche responsabile della formazione iniziale degli insegnanti di storia. E’ Associated Scholar del Georg-Eckert-Institut für internationale Schulbuchforschung di Braunschweig e presidente della International Research Association for History and Social Sciences Education (IRAHSSE).
Ha svolto ricerche sulla storia della criminalità e della giustizia penale in Italia durante l’Ancien Régime, sul pauperismo in età moderna, sui rapporti italo-tedeschi durante la Seconda guerra mondiale, sulla storia della storiografia, sulla didattica della storia e sui rapporti fra politica e storia.
Luigi Cajani, PhD, currently retired, has been professor for Early Modern History at the Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia of the Sapienza University of Rome, where he was also responsible for the initial training of history teachers. He is currently Associated Scholar of the Georg-Eckert-Institut für internationale Schulbuchforschung in Braunschweig and president of the International Research Association for History and Social Sciences Education (IRAHSSE).
Research interests: History of Crime and Criminal Justice in Italy during the Ancien Régime; Poor relief in Early modern Europe; German-Italian relations during World War II; History of historiography; History education, Politics of history.
Luigi Cajani, Dr. phil., Professor am Institut für Geschichte, Religionen und Kuturen der Sapienza Universität in Rom (derzeit im Ruhestand), wo er auch für die Erstausbildung von GeschichtslehrInnen zuständig war. Associated Scholar des Georg-Eckert-Instituts für internationale Schulbuchforschung in Braunschweig und Präsident der International Research Association for History and Social Sciences Education (IRAHSSE).
