Jan Hodel, Dr. phil. (*1965), ist Dozent an der Pädagogischen Hochschule FHNW (Basel). Studium der Geschichte, Journalistik, Geografie und Biologie an der Universität Freiburg (Schweiz), der TU Berlin und der Universität Basel (dort 1995 Lizenziat, 2012 Promotion). Mitbegründer von "hist.net" (gemeinsam mit Peter Haber). 2004-2013 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut Forschung und Entwicklung der Pädagogischen Hochschule FHNW (Aarau).

Jan Hodel, PhD (*1965), is senior lecturer at University of Applied Sciences in Basel (Switzerland). He studied history, journalism, geography and biology at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), the Technical University of Berlin and the University of Basel (MA 1995, PhD 2012). He is co-founder of "hist.net", a website dedicated to digital history, which he started in 1998 together with Peter Haber. 2004-2013 he held a position as scientific associate at the Institute of Research and Development that belongs to Teacher Education College of the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW).
