Samantha Owen, PhD, is the Director of Gender Equity and Inclusion for Curtin University. She is also a co-founder of the Curtin University Gender Research Network and a current Academic Co-Lead for the network. Samantha teaches in the areas of modern history and Humanities and Social Sciences Education. Samantha’s research is on trauma, memory, place, identity and gender. Her current projects are on narrative/yarning landscapes, activism and community formation, and sexual violence.
