Ирина Максимовна Савельева закончила Московский государственный университет им. М. В. Ломоносова по специ-альности история в 1970. Кандидат исторических наук 1975, доктор исторических наук 1990.
1975—2002 работала в институтах Российской Академии наук.
2002—2019 Директор Института гуманитарных историко-теоретических исследований (ИГИТИ) им. А. В. Полетаева, профессор Школы исторических наук, Факультет гумани-тарных наук /Национальный исследовательский университет «Высшая школа экономики» (Москва).
С 2008 г. — н/в Гостевой профессор Факультета Artes liberales, Варшавский университет (Варшава).
2019—н/в Научный руководитель ИГИТИ им. А. В. Полетаева, заслуженный профессор.
1998-2002 — координатор «Translation project», программы Московского отделения Ин-ститута Открытое Общество. В рамках программы переведено более 400 фундаменталь-ных трудов по 11 социальным и гуманитарным наукам.
Основная область интересов: теория истории, социология знания, история идей, публич-ная история, европейская и американская историография.
Автор более 200 научных публикаций на семи языках, включая 14 монографий.

Irina M. Savelieva graduated Moscow State University in 1970. Dr. habil. in history in 1990. Since 2002 - the Director of the Institute for Theoretical and Historical Studies in the Humanities/State University – Higher School of Economics (Moscow) and tenured professor, Chair of the history of ideas and historical methods, State University – Higher School of Economics, and since 2008 – Visiting professor, Uniwersytet Warszawski (Warsaw).
In 1998-2002 - coordinator of the “Translation project” program at the Moscow branch of the Open Society Institute. The program provided translation and publication of more than 400 fundamental Western research works in 11 social disciplines.
The main spheres of professional interests are methodology of history, sociology of knowledge, history of ideas, social history (19th-20th centuries), European and American historiography. By now Irina Savelieva has published over 200 publications in seven languages , including 14 monographs.

Irina M. Saweljewa hat ihr Studium an der Staatlichen Moskauer Universität im Jahre 1970 abgeschlossen. Habilitiert wurde sie 1990. Seit 2002 ist sie Direktorin des Instituts für theoretische und historischen Studien in den Geisteswissenschaften an der Staatlichen Universität - Wirtschaftshochschule (Moskau), darüber hinaus ist sie an dieser Einrichtung Lehrstuhlinhaberin für Ideengeschichte und historische Methoden. Seit 2008 ist sie Gastprofessorin an der Universität Warschau.
Von 1988 bis 2002 war sie Koordinatorin des "Translation Project"-Programms der Moskauer Abteilung des Open Society Institutes. Das Programm stellte Übersetzungen und Publikationen von mehr als 400 fundamentalen westlichen Forschungsarbeiten aus 11 gesellschaftswissenschaftlichen Disziplinen bereit.
Die Hauptforschungsgebiete von Irina M. Saweljewa liegen in der historischen Methodologie, der Wissenssoziologie, der Ideengeschichte, der Sozialgeschichte (19./20. Jahrhundert), der europäischen und amerikanischen Historiographie. Bis zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt hat sie mehr als 200 Publikationen in sieben Sprachen veröffentlicht, einschliesslich 14 Monographien.
