Christoph Dartmann, PhD (* 1969), is Professor of Medieval History at the University of Hamburg. Previously he worked as a research assistant and assistant professor at the WWU Münster, most recently in the Cluster of Excellence “Religion and Politics in Cultures of the Pre-Modern and Modern Cultures”. His main focus is on the history of the Mediterraneum in the High and Late Middle Ages, the history of medieval religiosity, Italian urban culture, and the reception of the Middle Ages in modern and contemporary cultures.
Christoph Dartmann, Dr. phil (* 1969), ist Professor für Mittelalterliche Geschichte an der Universität Hamburg. Zuvor war er Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter und Juniorprofessor an der WWU Münster, zuletzt im Exzellencluster Religion und Politik in Kulturen der Vormoderne und der Moderne. Seine Schwerpunkte liegen auf der Geschichte des Mediterraneum im Hoch- und Spätmittelalter, der Geschichte mittelalterlicher Religiosität, der städtischen Kultur Italiens sowie der Rezeption des Mittelalters in der Moderne.
