Adam Khamis is a Learning Media Producer and Sessional Academic in the Creative Industries at the University of Newcastle. He holds a Bachelor of Communications from Bond University. Over the last four years he has been collaborating with academics, creating online course content for platforms such as FutureLearn, edX, Blackboard and Canvas. Previously, he worked in television and advertising as a director, producer, editor and on feature films in special effects. These practices and workflows have benefited his work at the University.  He is still a practitioner within the industry, working on feature films in special effects and directing/editing commercial work.
