Dr Louise Zarmati is a Senior Lecturer in Humanities and Social Sciences Education at the University of Tasmania. She has had a varied career as a teacher, archaeologist, and museum educator. Her expertise is in teaching Australian history and archaeology, museum education, history pedagogy and curriculum design. From 2009-2010 Louise was engaged as a writer of the first iteration of the Australian Curriculum: History, Foundation to Year 10 and Senior Ancient History courses. She has written many textbooks and articles on teaching history and archaeology to primary and secondary students.
