Lindsay Janssen is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures of Radboud University (the Netherlands). At Radboud, Lindsay teaches courses on popular culture, Anglophone literature and research methodologies; she also coordinates the two-year masters programme Education in Language and Cultural Studies. Her research includes the Great Irish Famine, cultural memory and identity formation, diaspora studies, transatlantic Irish periodical culture, popular literature, and education on the Irish Famine. As a researcher, she is part of the research project Heritages of Hunger. For that project, Lindsay also coordinates the educational repository, a database of primary materials concerning major historical periods of hunger in Europe. The repository will be made available as an open-access educational resource in 2024.
