Fernando Pairicán has a History Ph.D. and is faculty member at the Escuela de Antropología of Universidad Católica de Chile. He specializes in the recent history of the mapuche movement as well as other indigenous movements in Latin America. His is author of the books Malon la rebelión del movimiento mapuche (1990-2013) and La vía política Mapuche: apuntes para un estado plurinacional, among others. He is also a contributor to news media like La Tercera, CNN Chile and Le Monde Diplomatic. He edits the series “Pensamiento mapuche” of Pehuen Editores.
